Waitlist privacy
Updated October 8, 2026
What you share
When you sign up for early access, Dote stores your phone number, signup date, and the version of the text-message notice you agreed to. When your invite is sent, Dote also keeps the invite code, whether the text was handed to the carrier or failed, and when you reply STOP or START. If you signed up with your email address before October 8, 2026, Dote keeps that address, its signup date, and the version of the launch-email notice you agreed to. Signing up does not create a Dote account.
How it’s used
Dote uses your number to text you once when your invite is ready, with an invite code made for you. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, START to allow them again, or HELP for help. Email addresses from earlier signups are used to manage early access and send invites, and any launch email will include a way to opt out. Your number and email are not displayed publicly, and Dote does not sell or share your number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their marketing.
Where it’s stored
The waitlist is stored in the website’s hosted database. Twilio sends Dote’s texts and processes your number to deliver them. Your invite code is kept in Dote’s app database without your number. Dote and the service providers that operate this website process this information to run the waitlist.
Keeping the form working
The site briefly stores a hashed network identifier and attempt count to limit automated submissions. Hosting providers may also process technical request data. This site does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.
